Terms of Service

Putting Scene (formerly known as Venn) is a curated event booking platform operated by PUTTING SCENE VENTURES PRIVATE LIMITED (incorporated 12 January 2024; CIN U47912KA2024PTC183394) with its registered office at 2nd Floor, 372, 100 Feet Road, HAL 2nd Stage, Indiranagar, Bangalore – 560008, India. This document combines our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for both the Putting Scene mobile app and website. By registering or using our service, you (“you”) agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

This document is an electronic record in terms of Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules thereunder as applicable and the amended provisions pertaining to electronic records in various statutes as amended by the Information Technology Act, 2000.

The terms and conditions of use and privacy policy that governs the end users’ (“You/Your/User”) access to and use of ‘Putting Scene’ (which term shall be deemed to include the internet and mobile website https://www.puttingscene.com/ as well as its mobile application and any other means to access the same from time to time) and the services offered thereunder, is published in accordance with the provisions of Rule 3 (1) of the Information Technology (Intermediaries guidelines) Rules, 2011. For further clarification the application “WhatsApp’’ is the application provided by WhatsApp Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, California 94025. Reference to the masculine gender includes reference to the feminine, neuter and vice versa. The Putting Scene Platform is owned and controlled by Putting Scene Ventures Private Limited, a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013 with its registered office at 2nd Floor, 372, 100 Feet Rd, HAL 2nd Stage, Indiranagar, Bangalore - 560008, Karnataka, India (hereinafter referred to as “Putting Scene/Us/Our/We”). Putting Scene is allowing its registered users to avail certain Offers from authorised Restaurant Partners and individual artists, chefs, creators (referred as “Organisers”) onboarded by Putting Scene by registering with its unique curated event platform (“Services”).

Putting Scene owns and operates the website, https://www.puttingscene.com/, the mobile and touch versions and any Putting Scene Platforms we have now or in the future that reference these Terms of Use.

For the purpose of this Terms & Conditions, wherever the context so requires, “you” or “User” shall mean any natural or legal person who is offered by Putting Scene to avail its Putting Scene Services on the Putting Scene Platform or by providing registration data while registering on the Putting Scene Platform as a registered user using any computer systems.

This T&C incorporates Putting Scene’s standard policies, procedures, and terms and conditions for use of the Services, including:

• Privacy Policy as mentioned here;
• Disclaimer Notices; and
• any other policies of Putting Scene as may be referenced by name or by links in this T&C

By using Putting Scene’s website and services through the Putting Scene Platform and/or by signing up for an account on Putting Scene and/or by clicking accept or agree to this T&C:

• you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by this T&C;
• you represent and warrant that you are of legal age and not prohibited by law from accessing or using the Services, including, if applicable, purchasing, giving, using, or redeeming any offers provided by Putting Scene, which may include but not limited to any offers such as cash back, discount, free meal or beverage or sweet or gift, as per the discretion of Putting Scene and the onboarded restaurant partners (“Offers”); and
• any additional terms applicable to certain programs in which you may elect to participate.

Putting Scene may update, amend or revise this T&C (including any Putting Scene Policies) from time to time. You agree that you will review this T&C and other Putting Scene Policies periodically. You are free to decide whether or not to accept a modified version of this T&C and other Putting Scene Policies, but accepting this T&C and other Putting Scene Policies, as modified, is required for you to continue using the Services. You may have to click accept or agree to show your acceptance of any modified version of this T&C. If you do not agree to the terms of this T&C or any modified version of this T&C, you must either not use such Services or terminate your use of the Services, in which case you will no longer have access to services. Except as otherwise expressly stated by Putting Scene, any use of the Services or availing of certain Offers provided by Putting Scene or the onboarded restaurant partners is subject to the version of the T&C in effect at the time of use.

IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS OF USE, IMMEDIATELY STOP USING THE PUTTING SCENE PLATFORM AND DO NOT USE ANY PUTTING SCENE SERVICE, PARTICIPATE IN ANY PROGRAM OR PURCHASE ANY VOUCHER, PRODUCT OR OTHER GOOD OR SERVICE OFFERED THROUGH THE PUTTING SCENE PLATFORM.

Service Overview

Putting Scene provides a curated listing and booking service for events and activities in India (primarily Bangalore) and is accessible globally. All event listings are provided by our official partner organizers and vetted by us; we do not allow public or unvetted user-generated content. We strive to ensure the accuracy of event information, but we do not guarantee details or outcomes of events. When you book an event through Putting Scene, you engage directly with the event organizer for the event experience. We are not the organizer of any event and are not responsible for the safety, security, or compliance of any event or venue. You attend events at your own risk and should follow any rules or guidelines set by organizers or venues.

Future Features: We may introduce new features in the future (such as group planning or social interaction tools). Any new features will be subject to these policies or updated versions. We will notify you if we collect new information when such features are launched.

Eligibility and Account Registration

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Putting Scene. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If we discover you are under 18, we will terminate your account and may delete your data.
• To create an account, you must provide a valid phone number. We will verify it by sending a one-time password (OTP) via SMS or WhatsApp. You will also be asked for your name and email address for account setup and booking confirmations. You agree to provide truthful and accurate information.
• Your account is personal and non-transferable. You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your account. Keep your phone and OTP secure, and do not share your account details with others. Notify us immediately at support@puttingscene.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account so we can secure it.

Communications and Opt-Out

We use your email address and phone number to send you booking confirmations, reminders, and important updates about your bookings or our service. You consent to receive these transactional messages via email, SMS, or WhatsApp. If you opt in to receive marketing communications (such as newsletters or promotional offers), you can opt out at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in any email or by contacting us at support@puttingscene.com. Note that even if you opt out of promotions, we will continue to send you essential transactional messages related to your bookings (for example, booking confirmations or changes).

Payments, Bookings, and No-Refund Policy

• Payment Gateway: All payments on Putting Scene (for event tickets, memberships, or other services) are processed securely via our third-party payment processor, Razorpay. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers; Razorpay (or your chosen payment provider) handles and secures your payment information.
• Booking Confirmation: A booking or membership purchase is confirmed only when we have received payment and sent you a confirmation. We will email or WhatsApp you the details of your confirmed booking and update it in your account.
• No Cancellations or Refunds: Once a booking or membership payment is successfully processed, the sale is final. We do not allow cancellations or provide refunds for confirmed bookings or memberships, even if you change your mind or cannot attend an event. By making a booking or purchase, you agree that all sales are final (except where refunds are mandated by law or at our sole discretion).
• Event Changes or Cancellations: If an event organizer cancels or changes an event, we will notify you as soon as possible. However, we are not responsible for any losses you incur (such as travel expenses or the value of your time). Resolving any such issues is up to you and the event organizer. Our no-refund policy still applies to payments already made through Putting Scene.

User Conduct and Restrictions

You agree to use Putting Scene in a lawful and respectful manner. Specifically, you will not:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose or to violate any applicable laws.
• Provide false, misleading or fraudulent information when booking events or communicating through the platform.
• Resell or transfer tickets booked through Putting Scene for profit or any unauthorized purpose.
• Interfere with the service or any features of the platform (for example, reverse-engineering the app, attempting to extract proprietary information, or “scraping” content).
• Circumvent any security feature of the platform or attempt unauthorized access to our systems or other users’ accounts.
• Violate the rules or codes of conduct of any event or venue you attend. Always follow the instructions of event staff and take responsibility for your actions at events.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these rules or if we suspect fraudulent or abusive behavior. If your account is terminated for such reasons, you will not receive a refund for any confirmed bookings or memberships.

Intellectual Property

Putting Scene and all related materials (including the text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, audio clips, software code, and trademarks) are the property of Putting Scene Ventures Pvt. Ltd. or its licensors. Putting Scene and our logo are registered trademarks. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the platform solely to book events and manage your account. You agree not to copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, republish, or exploit any part of the platform or content without our express written permission. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by Putting Scene Ventures Pvt. Ltd.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

• “As-Is” Service: YOU USE PUTTING SCENE AT YOUR OWN RISK. The platform and all content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will meet all your expectations or be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted. We disclaim any warranties, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
• Third-Party Events: We have no control over the actions or omissions of event organizers or attendees. Putting Scene is not responsible for personal injury, property loss, or other damages that may occur at or in connection with any event. You assume all risk of attending events and must follow any guidelines set by organizers. Any disputes or claims related to an event must be resolved directly with the event organizer; we do not provide refunds for event issues.
• Accuracy of Information: We strive to keep event details up to date, but we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any event descriptions, pricing, or schedules. Changes by organizers (to time, date, venue, etc.) may occur without our direct knowledge. You should verify important information with the event organizer if necessary.
• Limitation of Liability: TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PUTTING SCENE VENTURES PRIVATE LIMITED AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES OR AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM OR YOUR ATTENDANCE AT EVENTS, EVEN IF WE WERE ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY DAMAGES, LOSSES OR CAUSES OF ACTION (WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE) WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO PUTTING SCENE FOR THE SPECIFIC SERVICE OR BOOKING THAT GAVE RISE TO THE CLAIM. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.

Changes to Service and Terms

We may update or change the service features and prices at any time without notice. We also reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at our discretion. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document and attempt to notify you via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Putting Scene after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service are governed by and will be construed under the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 (and any amendments) and other applicable laws. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Putting Scene shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangalore, India. By using the service, you consent to this exclusive jurisdiction and venue.
