About the Experience

The Mizuho India Japan Study Centre (MIJSC) at IIMB will celebrate its eighth Foundation Day, focusing on the theme of India–Japan collaborations in business and sustainability. The event will feature a distinguished lineup of speakers, including Guest of Honour Prof. Tatsuya Terazawa, Chairman & CEO of the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan, who will deliver an address on cooperation in sustainable energy initiatives. The keynote address, titled 'India Japan Business Connects,' will be delivered by Mr. Sandeep Singh, Managing Director of TATA Hitachi Construction Machinery Co. Ltd. The program will commence with a welcome by Prof. Jaideep Sarkar, Chairperson of MIJSC, followed by context-setting by Saideep Rathnam, COO of MIJSC. A video presentation, 'Milestones @ MIJSC,' will showcase the centre's achievements. Prof. U. Dinesh Kumar, IIMB Director In-charge, will also share his perspectives. A key highlight includes the release of new MIJSC publications. The celebration will conclude with a cultural performance—a classical music fusion presented in association with the Indo-Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industries-Karnataka (IJCCI). The performance will feature renowned artists Hisae Tsuji on Veena, Siddhanth Kalkur on Flute, Poornima Prasad on Veena, and Shamith Kalkur on Mrudanga, symbolizing the cultural synergy between the two nations.
